Benefice Administrator
The 8 churches of the Ray Valley Benefice are busy with services, weddings, bookings, committees, and pastoral work as well as community events to organise and participate in. We would like to appoint a Benefice Administrator who can bring energy and enthusiasm to this position, together with the clergy, churchwardens and treasurers of the Benefice, to maximise our work and impact on the parishes.
Our new Rector (TBA) will be based in Charlton-on-Otmoor and the Benefice Administrator will work from his/ her own home initially. A laptop and mobile phone will be provided, together with training on software, if necessary.
We would like to appoint someone who is organised, able to be proactive, and works well as part of a team. It would be beneficial to have had administrative experience – typical tasks: monthly service rotas; ordering supplies; collating and returning quarterly and annual returns to the Diocese; updating websites; co-ordinating logistics for weddings and funerals, including managing fees; producing leaflets and checking Benefice accounts.
Hours: 7 hours per week with holiday entitlement; 3-month probationary period
